Last Week Week 12
1 1 Philadelphia The Eagles did a great job of taking on an opponent of much less ability and they didn’t mail it in.  They methodically took the BEARS apart and showed great O and D and special teams and put it away fast.  A nice win and now they will be able to battle the character heavy and talent light Seahawks.
2 2 Minnesota The Vikings came out on the road on a short week and made pretty short work of the same old sorry assed Lions.  They had some issue getting things kicked but ran well and played super D and got a good division win.  A fierce team that is a beast in the NFC.
5 3 New England The Pats took on a bedraggled Miami team and for a while it was close. Then the Pats poured it on and blew them away.  With other ‘top’ teams either losing or playing like total crap it has now become apparent – even to a Pat disliker like me – that the Pats are the best team in the AFC.
7 4 Carolina In a tight battle all game with a pesky Jet franchise the Panthers were finally able to use some excellent D play to win the game.  Caaaaaaam did his thing tho the team struggled on O for most of the game.  They are fundamentally sound and are but for the Saints the top team in the NFC South.
4 5 Pittsburgh Stop me if you have heard this one before.  The Steelers crawled on their stomachs out of the Packer game with a win.  They evidently, from the coach down, are looking past every team in anticipation of playing NE in week 15.  If the Steelers can’t do more on D or O than they have shown in the last few weeks it will be Butt Ugly when they face New England.  They do not have enough talent to try so weakly, week in and week out.  They are looking all the world like a one and done in the playoffs.
11 6 LA Rams Well how about those Rams?  I was under the opinion that they couldn’t play with the big boys but they have proven me wrong.  They took on a tough Saints team and beat them.  The D made some superb plays and Goff looked dynamic.  The Rams have righted the ship with this effort and now I just need to see them play this week again against another powerhouse team.
3 7 New Orleans Ah the Saints.  It was thought that the Saints D would be more than a match for LA BUT…evidently their prowess relies heavily on 2 guys from secondary.  Down a starting CB and S and the Saints secondary was vulnerable and got scorched.  Brees tried but just couldn’t get enough points.  They either need to figure out how to have backups play well or they need to get healthy fast.
9 8 Baltimore The Ravens are playing a steady beat on their seasonal play list.  They play great D and get barely enough O and win a bit.  They beat a troubled Houston team with great D and ok O. I think they are trying to repeat the ways of 2000 with a great D carrying them BUT…this isn’t 2000 and just a D isn’t going to get it done.
12 9 Seattle The Seahawks are marvelous in the way they keep going with less and less healthy players.  They gutted out another win with some inspired play by backups on D and some more solid O.  I am not sure how far this team can go with the decimation of their roster but they will get as far as heart takes them. They could use a new place kicker.
6 10 Jacksonville To go against Gabbert and lose?  The entire franchise should hang their head in shame.  That D allowed a bum of a QB leading a bum of a team to beat them.  Bortles made critical errors and that pretty much cost them the game.  They need a QB they can rely on…Eli perhaps?
10 11 Houston What is left of Houston lost a close one on MNF.  They gave about as much as they had on O and D but they are just a shadow of what they could have been and are more than likely just going to play out the string now.
13 12 LA Chargers Well the Chargers went on the road on Thanksgiving and ripped the Cowboys a new one.  Superb D that dominated, Rivers was spectacular and they were unstoppable with the pass offense. They won a laugher and are still alive for a wild card if not the division since every team in the AFC West sucks.
14 13 Tennessee Tennessee continues to be an enigma.  They had a great difficulty dealing with the Colts.  I know there is some kind of negative mojo about playing Indy but Manning isn’t there any more.  They managed to gut out a win but this is the most unimpressive team with a winning record not named KC.
15 14 Washington The Skins took 30 minutes to get it going but they gutted it out and beat a Giants team that tested them.  The Washington D was solid and their pass rush made a difference.  A good win that extremely marginally keeps their post season hopes alive.
17 15 Atlanta The Falcons tore apart the Bucs with great passing and put up huge numbers.  Everyone says they are on the way back to the Super Bowl but I think that is an overreaction to a team that has yet to really beat anyone who is good.  I still think they will be on the outside looking at Carolina and New Orleans while those two make the playoffs.
20 16 Cincinnati I will give Cincy credit for going against a bad Cleveland team and they didn’t mail it in.  They used a balanced O and played some decent D.  This team is still not able to beat anyone who plays legit football, but this was a good win.
21 17 Oakland Oakland managed to keep their playoff hopes alive with a win over Denver.  They only have hope because KC is terrible.  They could lose the division to the Chargers who are playing well.  The Silver and Black still has a ton of issues but winning this game was better for them than losing.
22 18 Buffalo The Bills rallied from what had to be one of the worst time periods in franchise history that didn’t involve losing multiple Super Bowls and rallied and beat what used to be a good Chiefs team.  It was a heck of an effort by a team that has every reason to quit.  This win put some life back in their fading playoff hopes.  We will see if they can do it again.
8 19 Detroit The Lions had a shot to get close to the Division lead with a short week home game but they instead pulled out the Lions playbook – penalties, mistakes, overthrows, turnovers.  The Lions did as much to defeat themselves as they did simply lose by being beat.  A loss that almost ends their shot at the playoffs barring their unlikely chance of winning out.
18 20 NY Jets The Jets have the wild and crazy offense down pat don’t they?  They battled a better Panther team for 60 and it was touch and go right to the end.  Can’t fault the Jets O as they did all they could and it was the D that let them down.  A good effort in a tough loss.
19 21 Tampa Bay Tampa Bay did what is almost impossible and made people all get excited over Atlanta.  They let Julio Jones get a zillion yards and made Matty Melt look good again.  Terrible D and lack of O and they now are turning back to the yet to be convicted thug.  Good luck in the Bay of Pigs.
16 22 Kansas City Just how bad are the Chiefs?  They lost at home to a Bills team that was sinking so fast they make lead balloons seem highly floatable.  They were able to get no offense and their D let in just enough to lose again.  There has to be some serious consideration to whether or not they win another game this year.
27 23 Arizona Well the Cardinals surprised everyone including me with this win.  They got one of the oldest guys in the NFL to kick a 57 yard GW field goal and beat a team that should have massacred them.  Gabbert had a great game *for him* and the O was able to scorch a great D and they won.  Hunh.
23 24 Indianapolis Another Colt game where they showed heart.  They give all they have and each player tries hard for 60.  They sneak a win here and there but I think the Colts have to be pleased with the effort week in and week out.  There could be some real keepers on this roster going forward.
25 25 Green Bay Talk about the benefits of using the post office.  Green Bay was able to have their young QB look like he had talent against a Steeler D that mailed it in for about 59 minutes.  They couldn’t stop the big units from Ptitsburgh but this is the crappy Packer D who can’t stop a rain drop from hitting the ground.  They lost a close one but at least they still lost.
24 26 Dallas How ‘Bout D’em Cowboys??? That was hilarious!  The Cowboys have no offense, the rush is flat without the woman beating scumbag and Dak seems overwhelmed. The Wide Receivers are simply not who anyone thought they were.  Dez is old fast and the rest of them are has beens or never weres.  Slaughtered at home on Thanksgiving, feast on that JJ!
26 27 San Francisco The Niners were beaten pretty handily by an undermanned Seattle team.  Their O had nothing going for 58 minutes and then Beathard got hurt and in came Jimmy G.  Talk about instant love with the fans…in one minute tosses a TD and looked like Montana.  He is starting now and may be there for a decade.  Things now looking up for San Francisco.
28 28 NY Giants The G-men gave what they had to make Washington work to beat them.  Their D let in the points that killed them and the O couldn’t score enough.  The nightmare continues as the Giants lost another.  And now they have benched Eli for Geno FREAKNG Smith! What kind of a maroon makes that call? McAdoo.  I think they just flushed the rest of the season.
29 29 Chicago The Bears got schooled and there is no fault here for them. They were taken apart from start to finish by the best team in the NFL.  On to next week, maybe they can beat SF but with Jimmy G it will be harder.
30 30 Miami In some ways this game was a moral victory for Miami.  They kept it close against NE for awhile and late in the game they still had a slight hope until a golden turnover ended it.  They were put away but they were never embarrassed.
31 31 Denver The Broncos had a plan to get Lynch under center and make it happen and all that happened is he got hurt again and they returned to the mistakes at QB who already have shown what they can’t do.  The D was the pedestrian joke of a ‘good’ D and they were dispatched with clarity by the Raiders.  A team going nowhere with no QB.
32 32 Cleveland Ah the Browns. They might have had a shot against Cincy but it faded fast.  They fell behind, they didn’t answer and the D was shredded by the run game.  The lack of direction at QB and just the feeling the team is lost and out of control must float over the stadium.  Sadly for Cleveland, this is the WORST team in the NFL.

Mr. N’s #NFL Week 11 Power Poll #PowerRankings

NFL Power Rankings

Last Week Week 11
1 1 Philadelphia The Eagles slept through the first half and basically carried their statemate’s playbook.  They were in a tight battle with a very bad team and it looked in doubt.  Then they played the 2nd half and blew the Cowboys out.  Domination by run, pass, rush, tackling . . . everything!  The Eagles silenced the Cowboy mouthpieces (both on the NFLN and other broadcast mediums) and showed everyone why they are the BEST.
2 2 Minnesota The Vikings faced a real challenge against the best O in the NFL and the first drive went through them.  Then the Vikings D got into it and they totally shut down the Rams.  The Vikes O ripped it with solid pass and run and they won this going away.  They should be primed to eat Lions for Thanksgiving lunch.
3 3 New Orleans Got to give New Orleans credit for taking on a Skins team that brought it all and they never gave up.  They were down big in the 4th but that didn’t hold them.  The Saints battled all the way back and won this game.  That wasn’t pretty but it showed a ton of heart and that counts big late in the season.
4 4 Pittsburgh The Steelers slept through the first half of TNF.  Kudos to Big Ben as he went in and screamed at his team and through stuff too.  Hopefully some of it hit their O/C (must be Haley trying to focus the ball on Bryant).  The second half was a revelation and they dominated and won going away.  They need to build on that 2nd half.
5 5 New England The Pats once again played it smarter than everyone else.  They stayed above altitude for a week so Mexico had no impact on their conditioning and they dominated from the get go and blew out the Raiders.  Sometimes it is a head scratcher why only New England thinks of doing smart things.  That was a good win.
7 6 Jacksonville The Jags found themselves in a fight early and had to battle to beat the winless Browns.  They used some good D and effective O and won the game.  They now control their own destiny.
9 7 Carolina On the bye and a team that is in control of their destiny and have to be faves to make the playoffs as a card.
11 8 Detroit The Lions were battled all game against the BEARS.  If not for a Defensive TD they might have lost this game.  They won again and now they need to beat the Vikings at home on Thanksgiving.  I don’t believe they can.
23 9 Baltimore The Ravens got their D going today and pitched their 3rd shutout of the year.  This D makes this team legit.  With the other team in the Wild card trying to destroy their own chances…Baltimore has a good shot at taking over the wild card spot #2 and could control their own destiny for playoffs going out.
15 10 Houston The Texans were able to get a solid win with Savage at QB.  I didn’t think that was possible but the turnovers helped.  It was a nice win and puts a hint of oxygen back in a team that was on the critical list.
6 11 LA Rams Well now the Rams gave me the result I was looking for.  They CANNOT play with the big boys.  Until LA is able to battle against the Seahawks and Vikings and beat them they will just be a young team who can beat on the littler guys.
8 12 Seattle The Seahawks showed the world that you can battle with no D but if your kicker fails you, you lose. They started slow, caught up and played in a shootout until Wilson drove for the trying score and the kicker blew it.  TruBEARSky knows how Wilson feels.  Tough loss.
16 13 LA Chargers The Bolts took offense that Buffalo decided to start a rookie QB against them so the D was on fire! They totally crushed the kid in 30 and built up a huge lead and then topped it off with a 50 burger.  The best win LA has had since they were San Diego.  A dominant win with some surging D.
10 14 Tennessee Played a heck of a first half on TNF and got blown out huge in the 2nd half.  They are lucky to still be in a wild card slot but they need to get a lot more focus and cut down on the turnovers.
13 15 Washington What a gutsy effort the Skins put up.  They had the Saints beaten and were up by 15.  The D blew another and they lost one they had in the bag.  Another good effort ended in a loss.  A team that tries but doesn’t succeed.
12 16 Kansas City What a mess the Chiefs are.  They didn’t run and they let a bad rush D beat them by not challenging it.  They thought they didn’t have to try against NY and it cost them.  They are lucky they are in a division with no other decent teams but they are rapidly becoming a 1 and done in January.
24 17 Atlanta The Falcons took their newly found offense and put up big points against an injury riddled D.  That the Falcons scored 34 on the injured Seahawks isn’t surprising.  How did the healthy Falcon D let in 31 and nearly 34? Me thinks all the people rushing to put this team in the playoffs failed to consider this D has issues.
21 18 NY Jets On the bye and a team that is going no where and having a week off just made them healthier and unable to do anything.
25 19 Tampa Bay Gotta give Tampa Bay credit.  They were in a tight game all day long and pulled out the win in the end.  Having the not YET convicted thug of a QB on the bench injured has made them a lot easier to cheer on lately.  Fitzpatrick is quickly guaranteeing himself a big pay check in 2018 with these performances.
28 20 Cincinnati The Bengals took advantage of playing a soft team with no QB (even less of a QB than Cincy uses) and put a firm beating on the Broncos.  Doesn’t make them playoff bound but it was a good win.
17 21 Oakland The Raiders looked like a team suffering altitude sickness.  They had no answer on O or D and they were just put away by New England.  Looks like the Raiders are done and now just need to find a nice place in the shade to sit.
19 22 Buffalo Well how did that turn out?  They benched Taylor and their rookie tossed FIVE picks.  It is said there was a locker room confrontation with screaming at being done by the Coach and spitting at being done by Taylor and then they put Taylor in and he put up 20 odd points.  The stupidest thing is how Buffalo says they need to review the results to see what to do in week 12.  Really?  They were destroyed by the Chargers and it was all the fault of the OWNER for pushing the coach to do this and now they nee do see what to do?  Me thinks the owner has said ‘you can’t play Taylor’.  Odd and the team is circling the bowl fast.
22 23 Indianapolis On the bye and a team that is going no where and having a week off just made them healthier and unable to do anything.
14 24 Dallas How Bout them Cowboys? They played it close for 30 and then evidently gave up and were blown out.  They are 4 out in the division and here’s hoping this hangs over onto Thanksgivins so I can watch Dallas get stuffed by LA.
18 25 Green Bay What a glorious performance they had at home.  Shut out and massacred by Baltmore.  I haven’t enjoyed a Packer game like that in 3 decades.  The play of Hundley was terrible, the D is bad and the team is pushing up Daisies.  I hope they all R-E-L-A-X. lol
26 26 San Francisco On the bye and spent the week trying to figure out who plays QB.
20 27 Arizona The Cardinals were reduced to their 3rd QB (they have an allergy to letting their top drafted QB play) and Gabbert played like Gabbert played in Jacksonville.  They were in the game for a bit and then turnovers were gold and they were beaten by a badly disabled Texan team.  What an ugly loss.
32 28 NY Giants The G-men took advantage of KC mailing it in and played a pretty mediocre game but won.  They had some D but were never really challenged.  They had very little O but got just enough to sneak out a win.  They are beyond terrible but they have 2 wins.
27 29 Chicago What can I say about TruBEARSky? This franchise QB does everything asked of him and more and once again he put the BEARS in position to tie if not win and this time the FG was missed.  The BEARS have something special and now need to build around him.  It sucks they have blown two wins in a row at home but I am heartened by the play of our Franchise QB.
29 30 Miami What is worse for Miami? They pay Cutler 10 million to play and he gets hurt again but then again he tossed 3 picks before bowing out.  The Fins have taken what could have been a pretty good season and pissed it away and now they need to start building for next year…again.
30 31 Denver The Broncos had no offense again and the D allowed lots because they are not only soft but overrated.  They fired the O/C (yeah it’s his fault they used Osweiler) and now they are going with Lynch.  Good luck kid, this team is sinking hard and fast.
31 32 Cleveland The Browns once again played pretty hard for the first half but faded and lost again.  They had a couple of turnovers and still no real plan at QB.  They are winless, directionless and sit in last place.
Thoughts, Comments, Questions, Arguments, Agreements?  All welcome! As always I will be happy to take money, preferably tens and twenties!

Last Week Week 7
1 1 Philadelphia Well I guess Monday night showed the football world that the NFC East title goes through Philly.  Let the talk about Dallas fade away now.  What a team.  The D is astounding and Wentz is dramatic and dynamic.  Until someone beats them they are the BEST.
2 2 Houston Took a bye and now they get quite the little challenge in week 8.  On the road to Seattle, this will show us how far Deshaun has come.
3 3 Minnesota The D is the beast that powers this squad.  With ok kicking and some offense here and there this is the team to beat in the NFC North and if they get steady O they can challenge Philly.
5 4 Pittsburgh The Steelers took down a division rival who’s only talent is having a scum bag who tries to injure and a red haired nightmare at QB. They had good O and played decent D and won it.  They need to continue to show this level of ability for me to believe they can challenge Houston.
7 5 New England The Pats beat the Falcons using all their patented ways including fogging up the stadium.  The D shut down a Falcons team that is but a shadow of itself.  Brady still looks 40 and a few more hits and he may be taking a 40 winks dirt nap.  They won. Whoopie. They are still 3-4 in my mind.
10 6 Seattle The Seahawks played a great game.  I cannot make as much out of it as others since they only stomped all over a Giants team who can barely get 43 people to stand for the anthem let alone 53 to play.  Just because NYG beat Den doesn’t make them good and the win by Seattle was well done but they didn’t beat an NFL team.
14 7 LA Rams The most exciting team in America took the show on the road wowed the Brits.  I can’t guarantee the Rams will win every game going out but I can guarantee it will be fun to watch them try!  What a great team effort they bring and with a great young coach things look good in LA!
16 8 New Orleans The Saints went to Geek Bay and slayed the Dragonless Dragons.  A simple mopping of the floor of Green Bay by the Saints ended all the Pack talk.  Without any doubt this is the BEST team in the NFC South.  Now they have to face the BEARS.
11 9 Buffalo The Bills did what they had to and they won a hard fought game.  Solid and intelligent QB play combined with good Running and that great D and here come the Bills.  Solid special teams too.  The Bills make ya wanna shout!
8 10 Washington The Skins gave their all on the MNF.  They played the Eagles very tough for 30 and then just got steamrolled by a better team.  It is kind of unfair that they are measured up by how they play the Eagles.  Measure them by how they kick the crap out of the hapless Cowboys.
12 11 Dallas The Cowboys blew out the Niners who are winless and started a rookie QB.  They have a woman beating scumbag at RB and a mother beater at WR who is crying for the ball.  This is a bad 3-3 team and could be pasted this week.
20 12 Jacksonville The Jags had another great week and Bortles set team records with his effort.  If, IF, they can get that play from the QB and add to it Fournette and that D then Jacksonville will be playing in January.
21 13 LA Chargers Well now what do we have hear but the Chargers have found their mojo!  They must have decided that winning was better than losing because now all they do is win.  They shut out the hapless and incapable Broncos and looked great doing it.  Go Bolts.  Someone go to one of their games ok?
4 14 Kansas City The wheels have come off in KC.  What was what a superb O sputter and sputs.  The D that was to be shut down doesn’t shut the door on any team at any time any more.  If they don’t win against Denver they may be heading south super fast.
6 15 Green Bay The Pack fell to earth with a thud.  ALL the talk of how they would coast without Rodgers ended with the first bad play by GB.  They were beaten badly and looked bad doing it and now one has to wonder if they can win any game without Rodgers.
17 16 Tennessee Well they crawled past the worst team in the NFL with an overtime win.  I guess you could laud the D but you must have grave concerns about the severe lack of O.  The Titans have had bad O issues even with Mariota so they have problems.
15 17 Atlanta Oh the Super Bowl loss curse is alive.  The Falcons looked like garbage, played like garbage and lost handily to a not very good Pat team.  The offense has gone south and the D isn’t what is was in the early part of the season.  They may be hard pressed to make the playoffs.
9 18 Carolina The Panthers swaggered into Chicago and lurched out losers.  Caaaaaam turned it over and learned again turnovers are gold.  Unable to get any O going they played good D but never were in the game.  The Panthers have a TON of issues.
19 19 Tampa Bay The Bucs lost a close one to a stong Bills team.  They had about as good of an effort as I have seen them put on this year.  Let’s see them do it again and they might win one.
18 20 Baltimore Flacco found out the Viking D is what QB nightmares are made of.  The Ravens never had a shot in this game and were quite lucky to get the points they did.  They are more than a step below the Steelers and maybe John’s bro can find him a college coaching job after he is canned.
30 21 Oakland The Raiders from Week 2 appeared and wow.  Carr looked amazing, the D played ok and Cooper finally woke up.  I would love to see them do this again as this win puts them back in the race in the AFC.
22 22 Detroit On the bye and didn’t move an inch because heck I don’t move them much if they fluke out a win.
28 23 Chicago As a long and hard suffering BEARS Fan this team is giving my Sunday afternoon weary Football soul a lift.  Mitchell TruBEARSky is not Joe Montana but he gets it done.  They have won 2 in a row for the first time in way over a year.  Can they keep it going?  They have D, some O, solid special teams and seem like a team who is just having fun.  Go BEARS!
13 24 Denver Shut out by the Bolts! What a great thing to happen to the no longer swaggering Broncos.  The no fly zone has become the come fly with me but the offense is the no score zone and now the question is not can Semien do it but how long until Lynch comes back.
26 25 Miami That was so unfair to everyone who picked against Miami and Cutler.  Cutler got creamed, they brought in a real QB and now the Dolphins are a dangerous team.  The longer Cutler is out, the better shot Miami has of challenging the Overpoweringly WEAK Pats.
23 26 NY Jets Nothing surprised NY more than a real QB coming onto the field.  McCown did what McCown can do and turned the ball over a lot and they lost.  The Jets are very loose on offense and they can score but they can look ugly in the attempt none the less.
24 27 Cincinnati Went and got whupped by Pitt.  Dalton was the Red haired nightmare of a QB I knew he was.  Burfict showed again that he should be banned FOREVER for his kicking a Steeler in the head.  There is no logic for the NFL to not suspend the 1,000,000 time offender.  The Bengals are a mess.
25 28 Indianapolis Shut out and looked bad doing it and then looked worse with the tossing of each other under the bus.  I am not sure Andrew Luck will want to come back and play for this team.  That O line couldn’t block snails from crawling past them.  Terrible team.
27 29 Arizona So much for AP being the new David Johnson.  Turns out he is just AP and he signed up for 11 carries for negigible yards.  Palmer went down and since they won’t put Mahomes in they are going to sink with Stanton.  Whatever impossible hope they had is gone.  Sharpen the fork and stick it in them deep.
29 30 NY Giants The Giants took a couple of weeks to show everyone that with NO WR they suck.  They were shut down and looked pedestrian.  The O line is terrible, the run game is terrible, the receivers *excepting the rookie TE* are terrible and the D ain’t what it was.  Boy they stink.
31 31 San Francisco So much for the Niners being close in every game.  They were blown out and it probably had a lot to do with the bitter pill of turning to a rookie QB for the long term benefit but short term pain.  Hoyer can keep it to within 3 while they lose but they get no where doing that.  Beathard may be the real deal. It will be ugly while we watch to see if he is.
32 32 Cleveland The Browns lost again.  This time they lost their LT and they continue to play musical QB.  With no concept of a plan they can not make any progress.  I am at this point not sure if Cleveland can ever resurrect the franchise and maybe they need to blow it up and move it to England.
Thoughts, Comments, Questions, Arguments, Agreements?  All welcome! As always I will be happy to take money, preferably tens and twenties!

NFL Power Rankings

Last Week Week 6
3 1 Philadelphia The Eagles played on the road on a Thursday and looked dominant.  They have structure and talent on O and D.  The QB is a force, the play calling is excellent.  They have a great pass rush and run stopping and play solid special teams.  For now, without a doubt, this is the best team in the NFL.
5 2 Houston My oh my, me thinks we can bury the QB question in Texas forever now.  DeShaun is the man and he is the reason this team is the best in the AFC.  They now can score with anyone and outscore most.  Combine that with the Texan D and  you have a great young team with attitude.
9 3 Minnesota The Vikings did what I have been asking my BEARS to do for a decade.  They took out Aaron Rodgers and the fans of the other NFC North teams all popped corks on champagne bottles.  The division is the Vikes for the taking.  They are finding some O and Teddy is coming back now. The D is the best in the NFL and despite the Packer apologists plain hopes, the Vikes are going to cruise to the division this year.
1 4 Kansas City The Chiefs just mailed it in and looked ugly doing it.  There was no excuse for what happened.  They have a choice with my poll…take down the Raiders on TNF and get back to it or lose and drop out of the top 15.
12 5 Pittsburgh Well done Steelers.  Found a balanced O and played stellar D and knocked off the undefeated Chiefs.  If the Steelers can play like that for the rest of the year then this team will challenge Houston for the AFC spot in Minny in February.
2 6 Green Bay Oh how the Packers have fallen.  Without golden boy Aaron they cannot get up.  They had issues on O and D with Rodgers and he just used his magic to get wins.  Take that away and a pedestrian offense with no run game and a D that can’t stop a fart in the wind and you have a team destined to battle to stay out of the basement in the NFC North.
8 7 New England The Pats are remarkable.  Evidently the NFL feels they owe them something for Deflategate as they awarded another win to them.  They lost to the Jets but a TD was ruled not a TD and the Pats got a W.  They should be 2-4 and are a WEAK 4-2 and cannot keep getting these breaks.  The D is bad, the O is bad and Brady looks like he should have retired after the Super Bowl win last year.
10 8 Washington The 2nd best team in the NFC East is a gutsy little squad who can bring it in all facets of the game.  Cousins is leading a solid O and that D is a beast at times.  If it wasn’t for Philly they might be the big cheese in the NFC.  Can’t wait to see them play their next game and show the Eagles what they have.
7 9 Carolina The Panthers can’t really be faulted for losing to Philly but I do fault them a little.  They had the home field advantage and should have been more prolific but they just couldn’t get it done and now have to take on a game BEARS team who may surprise this badly, BADLY flawed team.
14 10 Seattle Ah Seattle.  What a great time for a bye.  The teams ahead of them stunk so they moved up!
15 11 Buffalo Ah Buffalo.  What a great time for a bye.  The teams ahead of them stunk so they moved up!
16 12 Dallas Ah Dallas.  What a great time for a bye.  The teams ahead of them stunk so they moved up!
4 13 Denver Wow did Denver ever buy a lot of postage for this game.  I mean they express posted their O, they Fed-Exed their D and their Gameplan was UPSed.  What a useless effort.  I cannot in any way shape or form excuse this team getting whipped by a TERRIBLE Giant team – AT HOME.  Shameful.  They better try against the Chargers or this is a losing streak.
19 14 LA Rams Gotta love the Rams O.  They are vibrant exciting and young.  They are currently reminding me a lot of the early ought Raiders who just outscored everyone.  The Rams D makes the odd play but they need more consistency from that side to take the next step.  They are THIS close to good.
6 15 Atlanta This team is THIS close to bad.  How the Falcons lost to the sad sack Dolphins is beyond comprehension.  There should have been no way they couldn’t put up 30 against the Fins.  That their D let a Cutler led O beat them? Ugh, that was butt fugly.
20 16 New Orleans The Saints are getting it done and every now and then they play a little D.  Brees had a solid game putting a 50 burger on the Lions and the Saints proved that turnovers are still gold!
21 17 Tennessee The Titans get credit for 15 good minutes of football as it came at the right time to overwrite the 45 minutes of bad they played to start MNF.  A great come from behind win in a game that never should have been in doubt.
11 18 Baltimore The Ravens took the BEAARS a bit lightly and then found out that Flacco is a one Super Bowl Win overrated has been and look what happened?  Beaten by the BEARS at home.  The QB looked terrible and the D got beat by the BEARS.  Pittsburgh must have grinned watching this result.
13 19 Tampa Bay The Bucs.  Took me back to the old days of a Bay of Pigs game.  To let an ancient has been child beater run wild and then let a geriatric offense score 38?  Winston got hurt but the prob here is D and the sad lack thereof.  So much for their post season hopes, I am sticking a fork in them.
17 20 Jacksonville The Jags gave their all and nearly beat a tough Rams team.  They made a couple of key misplays on special teams and that was the difference.  A great effort none the less.
25 21 LA Chargers Break up the Bolts or at least attend one of their games!  They are on a 2 game winning streak and if they can pounce on a down Bronco team it could be three.  I am getting impressed at the heart shown by a team with no home to play in.
18 22 Detroit Life is good when the things expected occur.  The sun rises, the sun sets, the Lions are the same old sorry assed Lions.  They were blown out by the Saints.  They scored against prevent to make it closer then it really was and then they turned it over a lot to seal it.  What a sad team with a vastly overpaid bum at QB.
22 23 NY Jets The Jets were Jobbed.  They scored a TD to tie it and that would have given them every shot to win over a deflated Pats team. (only fitting for NE to look DEFLATED) but the NFL took it from them and gave the Pats a win.  We will see how they bounce back off that heart breaker.
24 24 Cincinnati On a bye and they just sat and maybe got healthy or maybe Dalton got older.
23 25 Indianapolis The Colts played a good 45 and got blown out for 15.  Goes to show that although it’s no guarantee – it is better to play good late and not only early.  This team has huge turnover issues and problems with D too.
27 26 Miami The poor excuse for a Cutler led nightmare won a game.  I am not sure how and what I am sure is they still suck and getting a cheap win over a Falcon team that didn’t try doesn’t change that.
28 27 Arizona The Cardinals struck gold with AP much in the way AP strikes his kid.  They managed to out score a D challenged Buc team and for the moment look like a team on the rise.  Give em a week.
29 28 Chicago The BEARS have a QB and now they have 2 wins!  Trubisky is doing enough to lead the team to victory and that is the key.  I don’t care how he does it and he doesn’t need to be Elway…I will take Tebow-like if it gets Chicago 10 wins.  A great win on the road.
32 29 NY Giants The Gmen came out and found an offense and D.  They went to Denver with nothing to lose and won the game handily.  I can’t figure out how and hurt my face when my jaw dropped watching it.  Lets see them win another.
26 30 Oakland The falling of the Raiders is getting bad.  They lose to KC on TNF and I am not sure they stay out of 32.  A Raider team going nowhere on O or D.  They need to get fixed quick or there is something seriously wrong here.
30 31 San Francisco The Niners gave their all and maybe just maybe found a QB in Beathard.  They almost stole one from Washington and look pretty good on O and D.  Maybe this young group of Niners is going to bring some life back to the Bay (kinda Bay now) area.
31 32 Cleveland Well the Browns reclaim 32 with a terrible outing against Houston.  They didn’t even try for 30.  They were blown out and never had a hope.  They are now playing musical QB and that is a sign of a franchise that has NO FRICKING clue.

Mr. N’s #NFL Week 5 Power Poll #PowerRankings #NFLThoughts

NFL Power Rankings

Last Week Week 5
1 1 Kansas City The Chiefs took on a game Houston team that had O to spare but was running a spare parts D.  The Chiefs O was the difference.  The startling lack of D could be an issue going forward but as long as they can put up 40 burgers they will be ok and are still the best team in the NFL (as of this moment).
2 2 Green Bay The Pack had issues getting stops with their D despite getting back the be all and end all of D players (surprised statues to Daniels aren’t already outside Canton the way he is spoken about in hushed tones) and it took a drive by currently the best QB in the NFL to win the game.  You simply can’t give Rodgers that much time at the end of the game.  As long as Rodgers does that then this is the best in the NFC.
3 3 Philadelphia The Eagles looked very good this week taking the wood to a very poor team.  While one cannot make too much out of a victory over such a lesser light…one must not overlook how many teams do overlook bad opponents and end up in dogfights.  A good win by a good team over a bad team.
6 4 Denver On the bye and a bunch of teams ahead of them in the poll simply played so bad that Denver gets to move up.  Lets see them make this stick by winning this week.
4 5 Houston The Texans D got decimated by injury and if not for the amazing talent of DeShaun they might have been blown out.  The Texan offense is the hottest thing going.  It is a cardinal shame that the D (supposed to be the team strength) is the reason the Texans are not undefeated.  Can’t fault Watson, he does enough to win every week.
7 6 Atlanta On the bye and moved up one notch because so many ‘good’ teams were bad.
9 7 Carolina The schizo Panthers continue to stay on their meds.  They managed to pull out a win over a mediocre team and if they can just find a little more D and keep their QB and RB healthy they might be able to really challenge Atlanta.
11 8 New England The Pats came back, they just won’t go away!  In all truth they played bad enough to have lost on TNF but for the lack of a TB kicker hitting anything.  Can’t really hang your hat on this win but for the fact it was a win.  I have TREMENDOUS doubts about the skill level of this once vaunted team.
12 9 Minnesota The Vikings managed to crawl out of Chicago on their collective bellies with a win.  They have some serious issues with their O.  I think Bradford is too beat up to be able to go and Keenum is getting to be like the girl on the hill.  One wonders if Bridgewater is coming back any time soon.  The D carries this team but as was shown against the stinky Lions, it can only carry them so far.
10 10 Washington On the bye and I still think this team is one of the best in the NFC.
16 11 Baltimore The Ravens made a good impression by pounding the whatsis out of the Raiders.  I think the Ravens O has some limited talent and their D can get it done most of the time.  They are certainly tough enough to challenge the current version of Pittsburgh in the AFC North.
5 12 Pittsburgh Oh how the perceived mighty have fallen. They were flat and that part that wasn’t flat got flattened by the Jags.  Problems on O continue and with Big Ben questioning his own ability it doesn’t look like it is getting any better any time soon.  They need major HELP on O.  Fire the O.C.
8 13 Tampa Bay The Bucs gave a good effort on Thursday and they did all they had to, in order to beat NE.  Except their FG kicker missed 3 and that was 9 points and they lost by 6.  They played solid D and good O and really deserved a win but they lost the game way more than NE won it.
18 14 Seattle Much (TOOOOO Much) is being made about the Legion of Ooops and their performance against LA.  The Seahawks won the game and the D did make a few good plays but the game was only theirs because the Rams lost it.  The Seahawks played bad enough to lose and that doesn’t make them suddenly great.
13 15 Buffalo The Bills did what I didn’t think they would do.  They let Andy Dalton and the Bengals beat them.  It was on the road and it was in bad weather but COME ON BUFFALO!  The D had an off game and they can’t afford to do that in what is now a competitive division.  They need a better effort after the bye.
15 16 Dallas The Cowboys took on GB and their O did enough to win the game and Dak can’t be faulted for setting them up for a win.  The poor excuse for a Cowboy D can be faulted for letting GB beat them.  A bad loss and this team has some serious D issues.
23 17 Jacksonville The Jaguars had another game for the ages.  They kicked the Steelers all over the place and won it going away.  They have a great young D and if they can just get their O to be consistent they may yet have something going this year.
17 18 Detroit The Detroit Lions did what they do best, they played hard for most of the game, they made some critical errors and they lost.  They seem to be able to beat teams that are old and injury riddled.  This is not the new Lions.  This is the same old Sorry Assed Lions.
19 19 LA Rams The LA Rams had a shot to show they were the new big dog in the NFC West but they dropped the ball.  Literally.  Gurley dropped a TD and Kupp dropped a TD and if both had scored they would have won.  The D played pretty well (one of it’s better efforts) and Senor Goff is doing all that is required.  He needs his team to do their part.
20 20 New Orleans On the bye and the Saints just took a week and maybe got healthier.  A team still looking for direction.
14 21 Tennessee Ah the Titans.  They didn’t have Mariota and evidently that was all she wrote.  The O was moribund and they couldn’t get out of their own way.  The D played alright but not scoring against the HAPLESS Dolphins is inexcusable.  What a bad, bad loss this was.
26 22 NY Jets Break up the Jets!  Well they have won 3 in a row and that is defintely not how to suck for Sam.  They get decent O from the aged QB and I have to give them credit for showing heart.  They keep winning and they could honestly be a playoff contender.
24 23 Indianapolis The Colts are a cardiac case if there ever was one.  They may set the NFL record for taking bad teams to OT and winning with a FG.  The state of kicking today you can’t really malign a team that can win with FGs.  It was a close win and that is better than a close loss.
25 24 Cincinnati The Bengals took advantage of home field and left over Hurricane Nate moisture to beat a game Bill team.  Dalton didn’t look like an Orange haired mistake and that is twice in a row.  Lets see them win another one.
30 25 LA Chargers The Bolts got off the schneid with their first win!  It is quite the performance for them to fly 3000 miles and play that well.  I guess being away from home was kind of a home game for them.  A good win over a terrible team but now they can be confident in the fact they won’t go 0-16 this year!
21 26 Oakland Oh Silver and Black I miss you so.  Not having Carr reduces this team to a walking punch line.  They were pummeled and lost an ugly one.  This is going south fast and now we have to openly wonder if they can beat the Chargers.
28 27 Miami The Fins won a game with Cutler being Cutler.  He barely did enough to show he had a pulse but they combined that with some timely D and won a game.  They still stink but they did win.
22 28 Arizona Wow.  I knew this was a bad team but did they ever prove it this week.  Bad on D, no O to speak of.  I can’t think they can get much worse but they did trade for AP and cut CJnoK so they may just get worse yet!
29 29 Chicago The BEARS have hope at QB!  Trubisky didn’t get the win but he got the BEARS close and had a shot.  He was hampered by drops and bad penalties.  He showed poise, leadership, talent and the ability to lead a team.  I think bright days are ahead.  They may not be too bright before 2018 but they are ahead.
27 30 San Francisco Another good effort by the Niners.  Hoyer played well and the D made some stops but they just couldn’t seal the deal.  They are not the worst winless team.  They are the third worst!
32 31 Cleveland Poor old Cleveland. They keep getting shots to win and not getting it done.  They had to bench Kizer.  He may yet be their QB of the future but it’s gotta be overwhelming to be throwing to a cast of who, what and why.
31 32 NY Giants The G-men.  They stink.  The thing is they stunk with OBG, Marshall and Shepard at WR.  Take their top 4 WR off the team for a month (gloves gone all year) and this team may yet have a new QB. They may go 0-16 and get to draft Sam D.

Mr. N’s #NFL Week 4 Power Poll #PowerRankings #NFLThoughts

NFL Power Rankings

Last Week Week 4
1 1 Kansas City The Chiefs made a firm believer out of me with that Monday Night Performance.  That they may have only been able to put the game away with the loss of a key Redskin defender isn’t damning.  That is simply football.  The Chiefs met a huge challenge from a tough team and fought back to tie and then take a lead and then in a gambler breaking play to put the game away.  Once again, the best team in the NFL.  For today.
2 2 Green Bay This is the best team in the NFC but boy do they seem to have a lot of issues.  Rodgers keeps getting sacked, the rush offense is lacking any consistency and the D can’t stop a run or cover well.  However they keep pulling out wins.  As long as they win they are this good.  When they lose they no longer are.
10 3 Philadelphia I am blown away by how good the Eagles are already.  Wentz has the O going and has a solid rush game with the Pat cast off Blount.  The D is formidable in all three areas and they are playing good special teams.  This Eagle team could waltz away with the NFC East.
11 4 Houston Look out AFC here ARE the Texans.  What a difference a QB makes.  The 30 minutes Watson spent as backup was probably the longest 30 of the Texans season.  Now with a dynamic franchise QB leader to combine with ample weapons on O and a superb D with great special teams.  I foresee the triplets of Houston will be known as the 3 D’s  – Deshaun, D’onte and DeAndre.  If this keeps going they could be playing in Minnesota in February.
9 5 Pittsburgh The Steelers D came back this week and Ryan Shazier is a force.  The O still has yet to find it’s mojo but Bell did have a good day running.  The win over Baltimore eased off the pressure on them but they really need to start the scoring machine to coast in the AFC North.
17 6 Denver Ok that was an impressive performance in all phases of the game.  The O was soild, the D was solid and the special teams was solid.  They dispatched a dispirited Raider team and looked great doing it.  They need to do this again.
6 7 Atlanta Atlanta got whipped by a suddenly tough Bills team.  This is a hard team to figure out as they can dominate with the best but can also crawl thru a game and lose when you don’t expect it.  I had thought they would have pasted the Bills but no.  Hmmm.
13 8 Tampa Bay The Bucs managed to win a game almost despite their kicker trying to lose it.  Winston goes from looking like overrated to ok he can do it.  They need help at RB and on D.  They need to play harder for 60.  They need to beat NE on Thursday.
14 9 Carolina This team confuses me.  They were destroyed by a bad team (Saints) and then went to NE and destroyed the Patriots.  How is that possible?  Caaaaaaam looks healthy and the D looks beatable but if they score 33 every week that may be less important.
8 10 Washington A team that looked good in losing again.  The Redskins have great O line, a good QB, lots of RB, some holes at WR and a good D when healthy.  They are going to be a force in the playoff race all year and the biggest challenge to the Eagles.
3 11 New England oh how the mighty have fallen.  Can they fall a touch more and lose on TNF this week?  Brady looks 40 and the D looks like they couldn’t run a 40.  They were taken apart by the Panthers and no matter how many people say that the Pats can make magic…they can’t make magic with talentless bums on D and that is what they have aplenty.
4 12 Minnesota Well the Vikings couldn’t keep the fire burning and the O was flat.  The D lost the game because they dropped 3 air mailed interceptions tossed to them by Stafford.  It was a terrible effort a bad loss to a bad team.  They need to do better.
20 13 Buffalo The Bills make you wanna shout!!!  Who knew the Bills were a good team?  I think this D is superb.  Tyrod is a good QB and Shady looks like he wants to be the force.  They keep winning I will believe more.
7 14 Tennessee The Titans got schooled by the Texans.  Mariota went down and boy did the D look pedestrian.  I think they looked power football in the face and blinked.  A loss like this could knock the Mularkey out of them.
12 15 Dallas Speaking of Mularkey, someone who says this O line is the best in the NFL is full of it.  They don’t have a great O line and their D stinks and if it wasn’t for the hapless Giants the Cowboys would be bottom feeding the NFC East.
15 16 Baltimore The Ravens had a shot to take over the division and got beat by Pittsburgh.  Flacco seems to be trying too hard and doesn’t have the talent or talent around him to get it done.  I think the Ravens aren’t all they seem to be.
18 17 Detroit I continue to not respect the Lions.  I watched Stafford throw 3 balls that would have been picked and 2 for six points each but they were dropped.  Detriot didn’t so much win as they didn’t lose.  This is  the worst one loss team in the NFL.
23 18 Seattle Seattle was in a close game and looking like they were going to be overmatched by a bad Colt team and then in about 3 minutes they blew it open and never looked back.  I cannot say this means they are good but it does mean the Colts are bad.
21 19 LA Rams Wow. I am a growing believer in this offense.  I need to see more consistency from Ram D but the O is the best O in the NFL.  Goff is amazing and I am sorry I thought he was  a bust last year.  Gurley is the MVP so far and Kupp is the best young WR in football.  Wow.
24 20 New Orleans The Saints shut out the hapless Fins.  This combined with their destruction of Carolina doesn’t yet mean they have good D.  I need to see them do it again and I will believe the D is good.  They can’t score like they used to, at least not yet.
5 21 Oakland With the loss of Carr for a bit and the deplorable play of Cooper and Lynch and the entire D…The first two weeks were a mirage and the Raiders are a pretty bad team.   Prove me wrong but I think they are bad.
16 22 Arizona Grampa Cardinal.  The nickhame for everyone on this team.  They are old and bad and a team that needs rebuilding stat.  A bad loss waiting to happen, blame it on their age.
19 23 Jacksonville The Jags took whatever good will they gained from a UK blowout and pissed it away by losing to the hapless Jets.  This D is schizo and cannot be understood. What is the real Jag team?
22 24 Indianapolis The Colts played 30 tough mintues.  The game is 60 but they did play 30 good ones.  They got destroyed. In the end the Colts are just bad and adding Luck will make them pitiable and bad.
32 25 Cincinnati The Bengals showed off some O and Dalton didn’t look like an orange haired bum.  They won a game handily and can at least state confidently that they are better than Cleveland.
28 26 NY Jets The Jets are not doing well in their tank fest.  Winning two in a row isn’t the way to suck for Sam.  They still aren’t very good but they have played good D for 120 minutes now.
29 27 San Francisco The Niners did everything but win.  They lack so much talent in all phases that it is pure heart that drives them as far as they get.  A good effort and maybe they can win one soon.
25 28 Miami OMG. Cutler is a bum but this is extremely bumlike for him.  What a horrible effot and to be shut out in UK is embarrassing.  One more loss like this and they are on a rocket ship to 32.
26 29 Chicago What can I say about my BEARS in their being destroyed by the Pack?  It’s F’ing Trubisky time.  Glennon couldn’t have given up his job any better then turning it over 4 times against GB.  What an ugly loss.  It can’t be any worse so give the kid his shot.
27 30 LA Chargers The Chargers are the forgotten team in LA.  They can’t get any luck and to lose the way they did shows they are playing under a bad cloud of smog.  Hapless and unlucky and unloved   The short definition of the LA Chargers.
30 31 NY Giants I have seen a team suck and they are the Giants.  Eli showed some life but they can’t stop enough.  The D is supposed to carry this team and they are bad all over.  Ugly.
31 32 Cleveland Well my hopes for Cleveland winning a couple faded fast.  The Browns need to get it together.  Getting Shelton and Garrett back on D would go a long way to improving this young team.

Mr. N’s #NFL Power Poll Week 2 #nflthoughts #powerrankings

Last Week Week 2
2 1 Oakland The Raiders played a great 30 minutes after mailing it in for the first 30.  They need to just keep the foot on the gas every minute but to me they are the class of the NFL.
5 2 Kansas City The Chiefs may be the 2nd best in their division but they are in the league.  A great D that didn’t miss many beats without Berry.  I think they are on a collision course with the Silver and Black.
3 3 New England They got better playing the hapless Saints D.  The O looked good but we really need to see them play a better team to say for sure the Pats are back.
1 4 Green Bay The Pack got whupped and it was truly a pleasure to watch.  Evidently the D is not as good as what they did to Seattle but probably not as bad as they played against Atlanta.  Rogers got picked so I don’t have to listen to that ‘xxx many throws since his last pick’
8 5 Pittsburgh A solid win that they had to work hard to get but they lucked out with facing a backup QB.  They still need to iron out the kinks in the O.
10 6 Atlanta A great win and the Falcons seem to be over any SB loss funk.  They blew out the Pack and look amazing.  The loss of Vic Beasley may hurt though.
11 7 Denver Speaking of D the Broncs wiped out Dallas with great D and solid O.  Siemian has impressed me with his talent and if he is for real the Broncos could be a force.
9 8 Carolina The Panthers got a win with good D and not much O.  They need more of the latter to compete with the Falcons.
4 9 Minnesota The Vikes got beat because they had to start a back-up QB on the road in a tough game.  The D played well but they not surprisingly had no O.  I expect better with Bradford back.
12 10 Baltimore This team is coming on with a 2-0 record and a D that looks like it is Super Bowl quality.  The O is working and I want to see if they can keep this effort going.
7 11 Arizona They won over Indy but this team may just be old and getting older every second.  I was fooled by their schedule and their talent on paper.  This team has a shot of finishing last in their division.
13 12 Tampa Bay A great game but they did it to the hapless BEARS.  It will be telling to see them play a better quality opponent in week 3.
14 13 Detroit They have won 2 in a row and that means slightly more than nothing.  I do not respect this team and will fall over if they win more than 9 this year.
6 14 Dallas Jerry Jones says this loss doesn’t define or represent his Cowboys.  Maybe it does.  Maybe this O line is no longer the best in the NFL.  I thought that ship sailed last year.  They are not elite and Dez is not a top flighjt WR.
16 15 Houston Frankly I have seen better efforts on O and D but for the circumstances it wasn’t bad.  The team overcame a severe lack of Tight Ends, a rookie QB first career start and a team whose mind must still be on the mess their town is in after the hurricane.  They were a bit flat on D but got the job done and the O was pretty badly flat but DeShaun did have one good run in him.  It was not pretty  or well played but it was a win.
20 16 Tennessee The Titans took the Jags apart and looked pretty solid here.  Now is this the team pre-season people loved or are they the week 1 version?
15 17 Philadelphia There was no shame in losing to a better team and the Eagles gave a pretty fair accounting of themselves.  We wait to see how they fare this week.
22 18 Washington The Skins battled all game and pulled out a win this week.  A pretty good effort and now the team needs to build on this.
19 19 Seattle This team crawled out on their belly with a win and looked horrible doing it.  They need to start combing the north woods for large tree cutters who might play O line.
28 20 Miami Rich Eisen is a Cutler believer.  I am not.  They handily won a game and I will reward that but wait to see how they do week 3.
17 21 LA Rams The Rams played a pretty good game and were in this match for most of the day.  Gurley continues to be the RB most likely to dance out of bounds to avoid being tackled.  They are on a short week now and must try their luck against potentially a fair to middling D.
18 22 Jacksonville The Jags seemed to have forgotten to bring their D to the division meeting and got whupped.  The O was lackluste and the D just got beat.  We must wait to see which team is real.
27 23 Indianapolis Well they nearly won this game.  For a team bereft of most talent at every position they gave a game effort and had to settle for an OT loss.  I think we can convincingly state that Brissett is better than Tolzien.
23 24 Buffalo The Bills need some O stat.  They played a decent D but to muster only 3 points?  Yeesh.
24 25 LA Chargers The only thing sadder than the bad luck the Bolts continue to have is the lack of anyone in LA caring what happens to them.  They couldn’t fill that dinky place if they gave away free beer.
25 26 Cleveland Continuing to give a hard try even when reduced to 2nd/3rd string QB.  I think this team has talent and is going to win their next game.
21 27 New Orleans There has been a lot of talk about D in New Orleans and that is just denial.  There is no D and it doesn’t matter what Brees does, they can’t stop anyone.
26 28 NY Giants I thought NY had just one rotten team but boy do the Giants suck.  I don’t believe their entire lack of any ability on the O line is Eli’s fault.  Brady couldn’t QB with that line in front of him.  McAdoo should be McAdone.
30 29 San Francisco Played a pretty solid game on D with not much O and nearly snuck a win.  Interesting to see if this effort can continue on a short week.
29 30 Cincinnati I do not believe I thought the Bengals were as bad as they are.  They were just abhorrent tonight.  To play that bad at home on Thursday?  They canned the OC but he is not an overrated overpaid red haired bum who masquarades as a QB.  The Bengals may have ‘star’ power but they have no heart and that may come from above.  Now this team of smelly refuse goes to Green Bay.  Wonder how 0-3 will taste?
31 31 Chicago But for a garbage time TD this was an ugly shutout.  The BEARS looked hapless on O and D and this just in, that won’t win them many games.  A reward? They get the Steelers next.
32 32 NY Jets The Jets showed a modicum of life in the first half but that may have just been their opponent not trying as they are the Jets.  The last 30 min showed just how awful this team is.
